You don't need lucidity to find joy. Joy is where you decide to put your heart at. There's just something about words that I love, that works in sync with codes. Solituditary, writing, imagination. Those, are my favourites.

Preface. So hey. This is my blog. I love writing. The posts and titles here are inspired from real life world and experiences. Typing about hurt doesn't make me a sadist. Typing about heartbreaks doesnt mean im on post-break up denial. Typing about love and crushes doesn't mean im in love. Typing about death doesn't make me an emo kid. We are all more in depth than the naked eye can see. I hate being ridiculed. I think I won't be uploading as much photos here now that Facebook is available. Read on, comment, whatever. Enjoy articulating or connecting my words with your life. Welcome.

Heyhey bloggers. Most relaxing Saturday for me. I stayed at home for this afternoon. Hehe. Life's simple pleasures. Pleasure. It is too big a word to define. But when i think of this phenomenon, i think of kids. You see, already i say that this sentence is a phenomenon. By which, i agree that it is a fact. Lets talk about this in a few aspects. Going into the aspect of adulthood, i think their kind of pleasure differs from what may be the pleasures of the adolescent. Shoes, bags, clothes, costly restaurants. They belong to pleasures in life for these people. They also may be categorized as luxury. They have the money. They spend it. It brings smile to their faces. Some others despise this group of people. Why, really? They think that money is too precious to throw away on a couple of shoes. They think that money is for stashing under their beds and bring with them to the afterlife. Its true, i've known people like them. They think that food brings comfort and smiles so why throw them out unnecessarily. And some others think education is worth a shot. Yet again, some thinks that charity is a great way to spend money, in the betterment of an individual. However, does it really? Is it a violation against human rights to be happy? I've seen a friend read this book. A very cynical book that suggest that men are present here to feel pain. It contradicts with some sayings from the bible and the Quran. Personally, i think pleasure is the extension of human mind. Its psychological in a way. Hence the debate over how money should be spent in this situation. One's pleasure differs from the other. It is how we response from it. Does it make you happy? Does it gives you relief? If it does, i am sure it brings pleasure to you. Moving to another aspect. Kids. What are their pleasures? Their pleasures usually are very minimal to us. It may range from getting a candy, going to the park, seeing their parents happy, going to school, getting their drawings up on the fridge or simply getting a hug from a loved one. They aren't opened to the complexity of life just yet so they make do with whats there. So is it a conclusion that, pleasures heightens as you grow older, making you want more and perhaps making you a more viable individual. It contains truth and lies in it. Again, depends on the individual. However, turning this fact around, what are the pleasures really? Is being able to walk or please for people who don't possess the luxury in life of a pair of legs? Is it seeing parents kiss-and-make up after a lifetime long of arguments? Or is it simply a milkshake for kids in Iraq? How does it feel to wake up on a bed. To walk on clean floors. To have clear waters for your shower. To shampoo your hair. To drink and eat from your kitchen. To own a pair of shoes. To make your way to school. To go to school. To own books of million words. To be able to read books. To have the comfort of a chair and table. To have sofas. To see something and know its blue in colour. To visualise something you haven't seen before. To smell a scent and know its a rose. To taste something and know its chilli. To feel something soft. To feel cold. To feel hot. These, are the simple pleasures in life that we tend to overlook. This is what happens when you have too much time in hand. Hehe, hey i typed it on the spot okay. Not so good but yeah, simple pleasures in life.. Yours. |
